How has the newfoundland dog impacted your life? Do you have a fond memory that you would like to share? Mâx brings us so much joy in our lives. We are both healthcare providers and when we come home, he stares us down from our front bay window and greets us at the door. He almost always has a "gift" of a toy for us in his mouth. It makes our heart know we are home and have our special guy welcoming us.
Tell us your biggest Newfoundland brag? We were volunteering in the hospital one day and we were asked to visit a patient in the mental health holding area. The patient was in a mental health crisis and had been up all night. Max walked up to the patient and they just stood there together and had a special bonding moment. The patient kept talking for the rest of his stay about how special it was to get a visit from the therapy dog. The staff ask about Max every time I go to work!
